Preparation For Paris Fashion Week

Today I had a real lazy day at school: We skipped the first lesson, because our teacher wasn’t coming, after I’ve had a lesson of English (which is really weird, because when the French students translate, they translate from French to English, I translate from French to German and finally into English). The following lesson was cancelled, too, so free day for us in Paris!
First, we headed out for Auber to check out the major shops H&M,Printemps and Zara.
Afterwards I took the Metro 1 and got off at Place de la Concorde- I wanted to go to the Tulleries and see wheter there’s a big rush for the Louvre today. Infact it was. No big surprise. So I decided to put my visit aside and move it to a less tourist crowded day. Nevertheless I went into the underground „Centre Du Louvre“, which includes the museum‘s entrance and as well many shops, cafes and a big Metro Station- all in the underground.
I just wanted to turn into the gait to the Metro, as I spotted a bis poster with the words: „Semaine des createurs de mode Paris“ (Paris Fashion Week). Gosh! How could I forget?! Today the Paris Fashion week is going to start! So I followed the banners, until I reached the grand hall with the inverted pyramid in its middle. Here, heavy work was going on. Men set up an enormous runway, with huge white partitions, hundreds of white varnish chairs and bright spotlights.
Guards made sure, that there’s no one coming through, who wasn’t involved. It already looked very impressiv.
Tomorrow, the most important runway shows of the year will start here. Directly underneath the famous Louvre. Who could imagine a better place for a fashion show?

Working with the press

At the moment we, the media and communication class, are working together with the Berliner Morgenpost. We write articles, take part in different events and talk to other people. For six weeks we appear as co-journalists and are a part of the project "Schüler machen Zeitung" (Students make news).
Last week we got the topic: "Sport in School". With that we had questions like: Do you like PE? Are the teachers supportive? What is good? What would you change? Varoius questions we had to answer in a short statment. After finishing it we send it over to the responsible editor.
This week some of them were published on the Berliner Morgenpost webpage(http://www.morgenpost.de/). About four or six came from our school and mine was also posted.
I'm sorry you can't read it because its in German but your welcome to take a look at it. Keep watching, I will inform you if more are published.
Pretty cool is that we got a press card for the six weeks to show that we are a part of the newespaper.

Here is the link where you can find the articles.

Meeting Up

Enjoying a lovely afternoon at Starbucks with our sweet friends Kim and Diana. Meeting up with friends is just one of the best treats you can ever have. Chatting and laughing about god knows who and letting the daily stress faid away. Place to meet is definitely a Starbucks coffee house. But in Berlin there are many sweet cafés hidden in small streets which are just perfect for some privat talk.
For example the "Yellow Star Coffee" is a cute and simple café for a shopping break. People love the big offer of coffee and espresso sorts. You can also buy the coffee you drink there for your personal use at home. All in all a very good adress to spend some time and watch the people who pass by.
